Because I found myself saying this evening ‘I wonder what I should do for the blog on Monday’, only to be told that apparently it is Monday, I’m afraid I only have a very quick and simple recipe for you this week, but never fear, for this is one of my favourites!
This sweet and delicately spiced warm milk will warm your cockles instantly, from just holding that lovely hot cup, to the sweet smelling misty steam that coils up to set your taste buds a-tingling before you’ve even had a sip. A perfect drink to take up to bed after a long day for sweet dreams.
1 tsp runny honey
A good pinch of nutmeg (adjust to taste)
- Pour the milk into your mug to measure it and then pour it into a small saucepan.
- Set the saucepan over a low-medium heat and let your milk warm for 2 or 3 minutes.
- Stir in the honey and grate in the nutmeg. Cook for another 2 or 3 minutes.
- Pour your milk back into your mug through a small strainer and enjoy!
